School of Marketing 2021: Year in Review 

To say our marketing school is rapidly growing would be an understatement, and we couldn’t be more thrilled! This year, we’ve had an absolute blast working with individuals worldwide to bring to life our vision of creating extraordinary marketers. If you’re reading this, then that probably means you have played a role in this too. So, in high spirits, we wanted to share some of our favourite milestones and say a huge thank you to all of you for being part of our continuing journey. 

 

The Places We’ll Go, Show. 

The Places We’ll Go Show has gone from strength to strength. Our podcasting show has not only reached thousands of people around the world, but it has also inspired us as a team to continue talking, sharing and exploring the complex world we live in and how to become better marketers ourselves. In addition, we’ve loved inviting our friends onto the show to share their stories with us. Sometimes we’ve laughed, other times we’ve cried, but most of all, we have felt truly grateful for being able to use our platform for good. 

 

The Sprintathon 

Earlier this year, we had a fantastic day supporting The Marketing Society with their annual Sprintathon to raise money for Stand Up To Cancer, a cause close to all of our hearts at the School of Marketing. We made it through the day without any broken legs or torn muscles, not to mention the incredible amounts of money raised! 

A massive thank you to Mark Evans, Sophie Devonshire, Stand Up To Cancer and all the marshals for organising this event and bringing together over 80 companies to make a difference! 


The New Marketing Playbook 

We are beyond proud of our very own Ritchie Mehta, who became a published author of The New Marketing Playbook, which has taken the shelves by storm! Ritchie combined his wealth of experience and knowledge to produce an extraordinarily informative but practical guide to modern-day marketing - if you haven’t read it yet, then there’s still time to purchase before Christmas! A must-have on every marketer’s shelf.


Mentoring Scheme 

Our mentoring scheme has become instrumental at the School of Marketing over the last 12 months. We set out on a mission to help as many young people impacted by the pandemic as possible by holding group mentoring sessions with some of the brightest minds in the marketing industry to share their advice and guidance. 

Over 700 young people have joined our sessions to date, where they have heard stories and advice from top marketing leaders. The stories of individuals we’ve managed to inspire and help this year are incredible, and we only look forward to taking this to new heights next year. So make sure you’re signed up to hear about the latest sessions!  

 

Apprenticeship programme

Last but by no means least, we can’t close out the year without mentioning our highly successful apprenticeship programme. Teaching new and existing marketers the skills and knowledge they need to thrive in the industry is the bedrock of our business, and we have been blown away by the talent we have enrolled on our programmes this year, both teachers and students. 

So, there you have, our year in review. Honestly, we are so thankful to everyone who has contributed to this remarkable journey and continues to make our vision a reality. These successes truly make what we do worth every single minute, and we have so much more up our sleeves that we can’t wait to share with you. So, here’s to advancing the industry, changing lives and making friends!
